We hereby certify, that we have carefully examined Benjamin H. Drummond, lat an Ordinary Seaman, Co…. , Reg’t, U. S. Nvy, in the service of the United States, who is an applicant for an invalid pension, by reason of alleged disability resulting from G.S.W. (gun shot wound) left leg.
In our opinion the said Benjamin H. Drummond is one half incapacitated for obtaining his subsistence by manual labor from the cause above stated.
Judging from his present condition, and form the evidence before us, it is our belief that the said disability did ….. originate in the service aforesaid in the line of duty.
The disability is uncertain in duration.

Ball passed through the middle third of the left leg fracturing the tibia. There is now a deep adherent cicatrix, and evident chronic ostitis. The leg is swollen somewhat, consequence of the ostitis. Interferes with locomotion.
