1873 Declaration for Increase of Pension in which Drummond is quoted as stating that "... he believes he is entitled to a greater rate, as for the fact that he was wounded in the right shoulder at Sabine Pass, Texas, in the engagement with rebel Cotton Boats while on the Morning Light on the 21st Jan 1863."
