Work on the several parts of the building, including the framing of the attic flooring and roofing, which is mostly completed and will be ready to put in place as soon as the walls are up and ready to receive them.
Mr. George W. Plant has delivered during the month about 92,000 of brick on his Navy Yard contract.
On the 15th of the month I left this city for Boston MA and returned here the 23d, and while in Boston I engaged Mfrs Enoch Robinson ? of that city (who are esteemed the best locksmiths in this country) to make and furnish the locks, hinges, ? required for the doors, windows, ? of the Naval Hospital building, thereby securing a superior article for the purpose, at that cost price.
The following Bills have been made out certified, approved and paid during the month, vis.
Hinsley and Clarkson laying brick ? $1401.25
George H. Plant delivering brick 1832.48
N. Acker freestone lime and sand 1539.65
? Edmonson Lumber and carpenters work 2512.28
The progress being made on the building at this time is favorable to its completion.
